Once you've processed your payroll year end, there are a few things you need to do before you start processing payroll in the new tax year.
Update tax codes
The standard tax code for the 2026/27 tax year is remaining at 1257L, so, for most employees, there's nothing you need to do. However, if you've received any P6 notices from HMRC, you need to apply these before you start processing in the new year.
Review parameters
To review the parameters for the new tax year, follow the steps below.
Click System, and then select Parameters.
Click the relevant parameter, and then click View Record.
Repeat this for any additional parameters you want to review.
