Create or edit a security profile

Grant or restrict access to a users security profile.

Security profiles control a user's access to various system functionalities, including but not limited to menu items, payroll frequencies, and departments. To create or edit a security profile, follow the relevant section below.

๐Ÿค“Tip: If the user is set as an administrator in their member's role, you can't change or edit their security profile.

New security profile

  1. Click Security, and then click Security Profiles.

  2. Click New , and then enter a code and name.

  3. Deselect the checkboxes if required.

  4. Click the Menu tab.

  5. Select the checkboxes next to the required menu items.

    ๐Ÿ“ŒNote: You must select the menu item as a whole before deselecting individual items.

  6. Click the Access tab.

  7. Select the checkboxes next to the required pay frequencies and departments.

  8. Click Save .


Edit a security profile

  1. Click Security, and then click Security Profiles.

  2. Click View Record on the required security profile.

  3. Click Edit .

  4. Select the deselected the required checkboxes under the available tabs.

  5. Click Save.


Apply a security profile

  1. Click Security, and then click Users.

  2. Click Assign Profile.

  3. Next to the required user, click the Security Profile Code drop-down.

  4. Selected the desired security profile.

  5. Click Save.
