Process period pay buttons have turned yellow

Buttons on process period pay have turned yellow and I need to submit the FPS again.

While processing payroll, if you make changes to an employee's personal details or make pay changes, you may notice one or more of the process period pay buttons have turned yellow. This is due to those changes needing to be submitted to HMRC.

Review the changes

To see the changes that will be included in the FPS submission, you can submit a test FPS and review the contents. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Submit the FPS as a test.


Changes that require resubmission

The following fields, when amended or edited after an FPS submission, will reset the submitted status of the employee and will require the reprocessing and submission of the FPS, and possibly more.

  • Standard Pay.

  • Attachment of Earnings.

  • Parental Pay.

  • Sickness.

  • Director Earning Period.

  • Email Address.

  • Email document flags.

  • Joining date.

  • TUPE date.

  • Leaving date.

  • Student Loan, including plan type and dates.

  • Postgraduate Loan, including date.

  • Tax Code.

  • W1/M1.

  • Tax Regime.

  • NI Letter.

  • NI Type.

  • P6 pay details.

  • P45 pay details.

  • Payment method.

  • YTD Taxable pay.

  • YTD Tax.

  • YTD NICable pay.

  • YTD NIC.

  • Irregular payment flag.

  • Auto-enrolment Exclusions.

  • Daily Rate calculation method.

  • Round to the Pound.

  • Average Holiday exclude period.

  • Import Variable Pay.
