Enter statutory sick pay (SSP)

Enter sickness for an employee.

If an employee is off sick, they may qualify for statutory sick pay (SSP). To check whether they are eligible and process any relevant SSP payments, you need to add a sickness record to Access Payroll.

๐Ÿ“ŒNote: If you are integrated with PeopleHR, you will need to enter the sickness in PeopleHR instead.

  1. Click Employees, and then click Records.

  2. Find the relevant employee and click the View Record icon.

  3. Click the Sickness tab, then click the Add icon.

    ๐Ÿ“ŒNote: SSP is only paid in full days.

  4. Enter the required date into the Sick From field.

  5. If known, enter the relevant date into the Sick To field.

  6. Click Save.
