If you need to pay your employees early, such as before Christmas, you need to set your pay elements and process a holiday advance. To do this, watch the video or follow the steps in each section below.
Things to consider:
Employees on holiday advance have a holiday advance notification under their name.
The pay element quantity adjusts for the number of periods you're advancing.
Once you process period end, employees on holiday advance no longer appear in the amend period pay list. You can't make changes until the holiday advance periods have passed.
Set up pay elements
Click System, and then click Pay Elements.
Select the relevant pay element, then click the Summary tab.
Click Edit, and then select the Holiday Advance checkbox.
Click Save, then repeat these steps for each relevant pay element.
Process holiday advance
Click Process Pay, and then click Amend Period Pay.
Select the relevant pay frequency, and then click Hol. Advance.
Enter the number of periods to advance.
Select or clear the relevant employees.
Click Apply to all selected employees.
Review each employee, and then make any necessary changes.
Click Save.
