If you are receiving the error message 'Before you can save this record, the request is invalid' when trying to make a change to a pay element in Access Payroll, follow the steps below.
Click the 3 dots
next to the payroll tab 
.Click Close.
Click Access Button
.Click Payroll, and then click the payroll instance.
Attempt to make the change again.
